About Devprayag
Devprayag is the sacred confluence point where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers meet to officially form the Ganga river. It's one of the Panch Prayag (five sacred confluences) of the Garhwal Himalayas and a common stopover for pilgrims traveling the Chardham route, particularly toward Badrinath.
Why It Is Famous
Devprayag is famous as the origin point of the river Ganga, the Raghunathji Temple dedicated to Lord Rama, and its dramatic setting where the turquoise Bhagirathi and the darker Alaknanda visibly merge.
