Kausani

Kausani, often nicknamed the "Switzerland of India," is a small hill station in Bageshwar district known for offering one of the widest uninterrupted Himalayan panoramas in the region, including views of Trishul, Nanda Devi, and Panchachuli peaks. Mahatma Gandhi stayed here and was inspired to write on the Anasakti Yoga.

Kausani is famous for its 300-km wide Himalayan panorama, Anasakti Ashram (linked to Gandhi's stay), tea gardens, and being a quieter alternative to Nainital for Himalayan views.
