Valley of Flowers & Hemkund Sahib

The Valley of Flowers is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in North Chamoli district. It is an alpine valley famous for its meadows of endemic alpine flowers and diverse flora. Nearby lies Hemkund Sahib, a sacred Sikh pilgrimage site situated next to a pristine glacial lake.

Famous for the stunning bloom of over 500 species of wildflowers (including the rare blue poppy) that paint the valley in vibrant colors, and the steep, rewarding trek to the high-altitude Gurudwara Hemkund Sahib (4,329 meters).
